This week on Poetic Resurrection we have Jonathan Troen. We have a lively conversation about the Self-Love Revolution. What it means to learn to love and accept ourselves so we can learn to love and accept others.
Jonathan Troen is a Life Mastery Coach and creator of the Self Love Revolution.
His mission: To help people find the joy inside of themselves.
Jonathan spent 20 years in the music and entertainment business, living the life of his dreams and interviewing the biggest stars in the world. But he still wasn't happy. He also found out, he wasn't alone. So he went on a mission to find out why.
Once he learned the secrets of true happiness and success, he had to share it with others. This was the beginning of the Self Love Revolution.

Sunday Jul 11, 2021
Sunday Jul 11, 2021
This week our guest is the amazing Che'Rae Adams. We discuss what it takes to write a good story and how the story germinates from the soul. That inner voice drawing us to write our story. We discuss the concept sentence, the why of writing and even when we write a memoir or solo show there is a beginning, middle, and an end.
Che'Rae Adams is a teacher, director, producer, and dramaturg. She is passionate about writers and helping them to develop their work. In 2006 she started the LA Writers Center which is a membership company designed to germinate and foster new works by Los Angeles-based writers which involves not only the writer, but a team of artists: directors, dramaturges, and actors. Her goal was to provide writers with a safe and nurturing environment in which to read and workshop their work. She lives in Los Angeles with her dog Walter who is spoiled rotten and she would not have it any other way.

Letting Go Meditation with the Four Elements
Monday Jul 05, 2021
Monday Jul 05, 2021
This visualization meditation is for letting go using nature’s four elements of Water, Fire, Earth, and Air.
Working on letting go of an idea, person, thought, or perception is challenging. By applying the four elements of earth, fire, air, and water in visualizing the obstacle is useful in cleansing it away. Use one subject you’d like to release and approach it. It is best to apply only one issue at a time. You can use this meditation to address other experiences in a different session.
Find a comfortable spot where you won’t be interrupted. You can sit or lay down whichever is best for you. Your comfort is key.
Close your eyes and quiet the mind, breath in… breath out.
Visualize walking barefoot on a welcoming forest path. The earth is cool and inviting as it hugs your feet with loving-kindness. You walk through the path where you smell your favorite flowers and the scent of the loving trees communicating your path to a meadow. The meadow has cushioned grass, and it feels like you’re walking on clouds. The temperature is just right as the gentle air embraces you.
At the meadow, you see a firepit. The fire is controlled and calming as you safely approach the mesmerizing hues with sways of saffron, cardinal, amber with hints of cobalt. Next to the firepit is a table with paper and a pen. You approach the table and write what you’d like to let go. Visualize yourself writing it. Each word, each phrase as you write from your heart. You can visualize writing several pages of the same statement. I will be silent while you take your time.
Once you’re finished, walk over to the firepit. If you created several pages, burn one page at a time. Take a deep breath and throw the page into the fire while reciting “I let you go with love and kindness”, “I let you go with love and kindness”, “I let you go with love and kindness”. State anything else you’d like to address, and express love as the page slowly burns in the fire. Visualize it slowly burning into ashes.
The fire pit is full of ashes as the fire gradually dissipates. Repeat: I let you go with love and kindness. As the ashes lay there, a light breeze drives the ashes away. A gentle rain begins. You feel the water cleansing your aches away. You embrace the rain as it feels peaceful and soothing. You take a moment to enjoy the rain, as it brings a smile to your face.
Forgiveness and letting go are freeing to the soul.
Take a deep breath and slowly breathe out.
Rest for a moment and when you are ready, open your eyes.
May your day be full of gratitude, joy, and blessings.
