Perceptions of the Mind
In this episode, we discuss perceptions of the mind and how our thoughts create our behavior. We visit the soul and how our beliefs can block us. Some suggestions on exploring your perceptions. The poem Alone from Inspire Me: Perception is read.
Alone
Sitting on a solid branch
There’s clarity and confusion, just staring out
No movement in the muddled-
Beauty of branches and options
Perceiving thoughts of entangled leaves
Do I proceed into the unknown?
Can there be escape, once entered?
What’s there?
The mind tangles the web of life for us
Clarity holds thin branches, which
Negates the weight of experiences
Therefore, I sit still—frozen
Loneliness, chirping for attention
No sounds, utters, or voices
Ignored
Then movement
A lonely soul approaches
Understanding the perched cry
Holding strong on the solid branch
I’m heard, companion approaches
Kind eyes of sympathy
Warm white glow of self
Listened to anger of
Discontent and fear
Flying away
Above the tree of misperceptions
Where it’s all clear
Where the heart breathes
